Why this site exists
Search for “check my gift card balance” and most of what comes back is thin pages built to rank, some of which host their own entry form and harvest live card details. A gift card number plus its PIN has no password protecting it and no verification step — whoever has both can spend the balance, and a stolen balance is almost never replaced.
These guides do the opposite. Each one explains every way to check a balance, links to the retailer's official tool, and sets out the card terms that actually catch people out — expiry, reload rules, where the card does and does not work, and what happens when it is lost.
How to spot a fake balance-check page
- It asks for the number and PIN on its own page. Legitimate guides send you to the retailer. This is the single clearest signal.
- It uses the retailer's logo and colours. Real independent guides do not dress up as the brand.
- The URL is not the retailer's. Check the address bar before typing anything, every time.
- It promises to convert your balance to cash. Retailers do not do this, and the pages that claim to are collecting card details.
If a page trips any of those, close it. Then go to the retailer's own site directly by typing the address yourself.
